A Little About Our Program…

Marion Youth Academy is a non-secure residential facility for at-risk males between the ages of 13 to 18. Trained mental health staff provide a variety of evidence-based programs that are designed to intervene in the delinquent lifestyle, foster normal adolescent maturation, and prepare youth for reintegration into the home and community. All youth are provided individualized treatment plans to address their specific mental health needs and seek to integrate the family and other natural supports into the treatment. The Job
We are seeking talented individuals to help drive the success of youth in our communities.  As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide direct supervision to all adolescent males ages 13 -18. You will serve as a role model and provide support & structure to the residents in our care.


Daily Duties

  • Supervise residents in their daily routines providing rewards and consequences as prescribed by our behavior management system
  • Maintain routine order on dorm unit and during activities
  • Address group concerns according to Positive Peer Culture standards and elicit positive change for residents
  • Complete assessments, reviews and other documentation in a timely manner
  • Adheres and participates in the safety program.

Must Haves

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Over the age of 21
  • Maturity, empathy and patience
  • Be special – Not everyone can do what we do
  • The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast paced environment and follow proper protocols
  • A minimum of one-year experience working with at risk youth in a juvenile setting or related setting
