Forest Ridge is a Residential Treatment Facility located just outside of Estherville, Iowa.  We are looking for people who care about helping high-risk kids make real changes in their lives.  Our students are young women, 13 to 18 years old, and are working through issues such as aggression, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual exploitation, and what life could look like outside if gang involvement. Each student who successfully completes their treatment program has the opportunity to positively affect their family, peer group and community. As the Group Living Director, our students need you to be a Solid Object:

Our Group Living Director will be especially skilled at:

  • Planning programs for juvenile offenders in order to affect their rehabilitation and return to the community as non-offenders.
  • Providing the Group Living Department with oversight regarding the implementation of programming, set standards of performance; create positive relationships with the community & associated agencies.
  • Creating and implementing a treatment team model by conducting staff meetings and team building activities.
  • Ensuring appropriate programs are developed and implemented to meet the needs of Forest Ridge students and monitor programming on an ongoing basis to ensure quality of program content and program delivery to the students.
  • Participating in the overall management of Forest Ridge as a member of the management team.
  • Believing in kids.

The Group Living Director’s typical schedule is Monday through Fridays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Our minimum job requirement:  High School Diploma or GED equivalent, one year related work experience, graduate of an accredited 4-year college or university with RTSS qualifying degree, or combination of education and work related experience to meet RTSS standards.
