Welcome to Love's: We are hiring for an accounting position with frequent interaction with the EVP of Transportation and others in Gemini Operations. This role will be responsible for providing support and analysis needed to help Gemini Operations successfully operate the business and execute at a high level.  In this role, you will perform monthly account reconciliations, month end accounting processes, produce weekly and monthly reports, generate weekly freight invoices and perform analysis as requested.

Job Functions:

  • Maintain and distribute weekly operational reports
  • Perform analysis on transportation business as requested by operational and/or accounting management
  • Assist Regional Managers with monthly P&L questions
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain workpapers
  • Process freight invoices for intercompany and 3rd party loads and assist in 3rd party rate analysis
  • Ensure collection of all outstanding accounts receivable
  • Balance cash accounts in SAP
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Other projects and duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Experience:
      • 0-2 years Fuel or Transportation experience
      • SAP experience is a plus
      • Tableau experience is a plus
  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, attention to detail, good time management skills, and the ability to prioritize
  • Typical Physical Demands:
      • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
      • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
      • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
      • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
