As part of the Waitstaff you will impact the lives of our residents by preparing and serving nourishing, palatable and appealing meals. You will be responsible for driving excellence and ensuring that your customer service delivers the required results aligned with Buckner’s mission, vision, and values.

What you'll do:

  • Must be upbeat, courteous, and positive.
  • Possesses great guest relation and communications skills.
  • Deliver hospitality, enhance every guest experience.
  • Be able to navigate through the menu, describe featured menu items. Demonstrate extensive menu knowledge.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders. Be able to send orders to kitchen accurately through the point of sales system. Partner with all associates to serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
  • Cash handling, including, but not limited to counting and balancing cash register. Ensure all payments are processed timely, accurately, and correctly. Maintain the confidentiality of guest information.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and work well with others.
  • Must be able to adhere to our Buckner Service Standards.
  • Responsible for all side-work duties assigned and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all dining areas, some kitchen areas.
  • Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.

 What you’ll bring:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Requires knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.
  • Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain once hired.
  • Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
  • Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift.
