Our Austin Equipment Yard has an outstanding opportunity for general laborers at our equipment yard located in Southwest Dallas, Texas near Duncanville. General Laborers in the equipment yard support daily operations by assisting with the organization, maintenance, and movement of construction equipment and materials. Duties may include cleaning and preparing equipment, loading and unloading materials, performing basic inspections, assisting mechanics, maintaining a safe and orderly yard, and supporting logistics related to equipment delivery and return. This role requires physical labor, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily operation and organization of the equipment yard
  • Load, unload, move, and stage construction equipment, tools, and materials
  • Clean, fuel, and prepare equipment for use, delivery, or return
  • Perform basic visual inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns
  • Support mechanics and yard staff with basic tasks as needed
  • Assist with inventory tracking, yard setup, and general labor tasks as assigned
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free yard environment
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and company guidelines
  • Perform other related duties to support yard and operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction, equipment yards, warehouses, or general labor is a plus
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings to support a safe work environment
  • Ability to follow safety rules, procedures, and supervisor instructions
  • Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
  • Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certification
  • Requires working indoors and outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
