Job Description

The New! Residence Inn Claremont is hiring for Maintenance Techs that ensure every guest experiences a comfortable and safe stay! Through your dedication and technical skill, you help the Hotels deliver consistent quality and uphold our Wings of Excellence commitment.

Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive upkeep throughout the hotel. This position ensures that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are safe, functional, and in excellent condition consistent with the Hotels’ standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Maintenance & Repairs

  •  Perform daily maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  •  Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance work orders.
  •  Assist with preventive maintenance programs to ensure proper functioning of all systems.
  •  Conduct safety checks and equipment inspections regularly.

Operational Support

  •  Work collaboratively with housekeeping and front desk teams to address maintenance priorities.
  •  Maintain accurate logs of repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  •  Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies or parts are needed.

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •  Previous maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel is preferred.
  •  Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  •  Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  •  Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  •  Physical role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
  •  Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  •  Exposure to varying temperatures and physical environments.
