Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to adhere to brake duration and return to work station promptly.
  • Checks press for tonnage, mold and preheaters for temperature.
  • Cuts/prepares material for molding at the press.
  • Loads preforms/extrusions into preheater.
  • Loads preforms /extrusions into mold.
  • Operates press according to job specifications.
  • Cleans up around press/work area during cure time.
  • Unload parts from mold.
  • Inspects parts for flaws/seeks corrective action if needed.
  • Completes all required "trimming at the press".
  • Cleans mold and equipment in preparation for next shot.
  • Records time and work on Labor Ticket each day.
  • Communicates all production/press related information to next shift Press Operator, or shift Supervisor
  • Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Moves molding material from staging area to press line
  • Assists in training of new workers
  • Relieves and fill-ins during lunch breaks
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Entry level position
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Works under close supervision.
  • Comprehension of written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division)
  • Reading comprehension skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing; Must be able to remain in a relative stationary position
  • Walking; Must be able to move about for short distances on foot to accomplish tasks
  • Grasping, Feeling, Fingering; Must be able to apply pressure to an object with fingers and hands to perceive attributes of objects such as size, shape, and texture for purposes of preparing, placing, positioning and inspecting
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling; Must be able to bend downward and forward by bending spine and/or legs
  • Ability to endure a hot work environment
  • Repetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movement
  • Ability to read
  • Occasional bending/twisting/crouching and squatting
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Lifting from floor to waist
  • Pushing/pulling forces up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent reaching from should level or below/over the shoulder/while holding objects
  • Frequent climbing of step stools
  • Able to see to distinguish colors, prepare/analyze figures, prepare/review documents and to visually inspect items
  • Frequent use of power tools, slicing/cutting equipment, machinery and machine that produces excessive heat

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Exposure to extreme heat for more than an hour
  • Bright environment or lighting

  • This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive Position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.
