Job Description

The Payroll Clerk will process our payroll and maintain employee records. In this role, you will maintain employee data, confirm timecards for all employees, process payroll every two weeks, and run reports to check for accuracy. You will also assist processing invoices for accounts payable. We prefer candidates with at least one year of experience and proficiency in data entry.

Duties & Responsibilities:   

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including reviewing pay data and deductions for accuracy. 
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by working with employees, managers, and department heads.  
  • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures. 
  • Produce payroll reporting to department operations and management teams to provide insight into company labor expenses. 
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. 
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by recording invoices and credits. 
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. 
  • Other duties as assigned.   

Qualifications:    

  • Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail. 
  • The ability to type at 8,000 KPH on a 10-key pad is preferred.
  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns. 
  • An effective team player. 
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a time-sensitive environment. 
  • Have confidentiality and respect for the privacy of company and employee records. 
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter. 
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
