This role will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Safety and Engineering to define scope, design, estimates and oversight for small-scale capital projects and factory floor improvements. Learn from our senior Engineering team while gaining valuable hands-on real-world experience in a complex food manufacturing facility. Gain valuable experience and exposure on how the Engineering Team impacts the manufacturing process, optimizes efficiency and increases productivity. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.   Essential Functions · Drive a safety culture that prioritizes safe work practices and procedures, ensure all activities align with regulatory requirements that may apply, e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA, state and local building and fire code regulations. · Develop project scopes and detailed project plans. · Manages schedules, costs and other key deliverables per the approved project plan. · Coordinates with internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects. · Effectively facilitates project team meetings. · Ensures that forms and records to document project activities are maintained in a project management software database. · Ensure that all projects are delivered safely on time, within project scope and budget. · Assist the Engineering Team in other projects. · All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.   Basic Qualifications · Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an ABET accredited school in one of the following fields: o Electrical Engineering o Mechanical Engineering o Chemical Engineering · A minimum GPA of 3.0 · Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) · Available to work 40 hours per week onsite for approximately 10-14 weeks.     Desired Qualifications · Preferably entering junior or senior year in the fall of 2026. · Experience in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry is a plus. · Experience with AutoCAD. · Strong project management skills.   Competencies · Excellent communication skills. · Ability to maintain a positive attitude. · Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams across all shifts. · Must possess a continuous improvement mindset. · Demonstrated ability to function in a team-based environment. · Capability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on delivery of goals and metrics.   Work Environment § While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks. The employee is frequently exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.           Universal Pay Verbiage The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $25 per hour.
