How you’ll contribute
A Phlebotomist who excels in this role:
Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.
Fills in as needed in the department.
Functions as one of the department's primary contacts with patients.
Assists with clerical duties.
Performs phlebotomies.
Performs laboratory Information System functions.
Maintains a clean work area and proper stock on supplies.
Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completed an approved nationally accredited training course or program in Phlebotomy (required qualifications). Additional requirements include:
Certification from ASCP or NHA is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
