Job Summary

Performs a combination of tasks that maintain the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience. 

Essential Job Duties 

1. Moves, arranges, dusts and polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment. 
2. Cleans, replenishes and refurnishes hotel room with supplies, towels, etc. as required. 
3. Supplies own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift. 
4. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas within the hotel. 
5. Sweeps, vacuums, and scrubs floors throughout the hotel. 
6. Washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. 
7. Empties and cleans wastebaskets and ashtrays and transports trash and waste to disposal area. 
8. Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner. 
9. Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation. 
10. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners. 
11. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission. 
12. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers. 
13. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect. 
14. Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards. 

Supplemental Job Duties 

1. May deliver ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll away beds to guest rooms. 
2. Attends all required meetings and training sessions. 
3. Performs other job related duties as assigned. 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Some occasional lifting up to 25 pounds will be required. Involves significant walking and standing, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching with your body, arms, and/or legs. 

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Entry-level position. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission. 

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position. Must be flexible with shift and days off. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations and be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions. Must have good organizational skills. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for team member tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Team members and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
