Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Audience Planning is a new function at Inspire meant to be the strategic bridge between Consumer Strategy from our brands, and Media Strategy from our central media team.  The Audience Planning team is responsible for developing, executing, measuring, and optimizing audience segments across paid channels.

The Audience Planning Intern will help support the Manager and the broader Audience Planning team in the audience development process across all six brands, tracking audience builds and contributing to department projects. This individual is expected to show resourcefulness, exhibit accountability, and be detail oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Manger + Audience Planning team by tracking the development and execution of audience builds across the portfolio.
  • Liaise between internal/external resources and the Audience Planning team to ensure audiences are built and deployed on schedule.
  • Assist in building various PowerPoint presentations and briefs as needed to package audience strategy and results.
  • Monitor and summarize best practices in media-driven audience strategy across industry competitors and outside the QSR industry.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings aid in summarizing notes and action steps for the Audience Planning team.
  • With guidance from the Audience Planning team, learn how to define, build, and deploy audiences across a variety of paid media channels.
  • Update department project and audience build trackers.
  • Learn about the measurement of audience performance and help track top audiences over time.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Audience Planning team for ad hoc projects.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Minimum:

  • Qualified candidates will be graduate or undergraduate students in their junior or senior year of college working towards a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business or similar

Preferred:

  • Understanding of the media landscape
  • Basic understanding of business and media metrics

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and strategic, with excellent attention to detail.
