Position Overview

Vallejo Hyundai is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, productive, and committed to fixing vehicles right the first time while maintaining strong productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Hyundai and pre-owned vehicles
Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
Complete repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards
Maintain high levels of productivity and minimize comebacks
Perform multi-point inspections and recommend needed services
Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repairs
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Stay up to date with Hyundai training and certifications

Qualifications

Previous experience as an automotive technician required
Hyundai or OEM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
Own tools required
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
