Description

Under supervision, performs routine analytical tasks in an oil analysis lab.

• Performs routine oil analysis testing, including operation of lab equipment and utilization of current LIMS.
• Prepares samples for analysis using appropriate techniques and performs sample preparation for quality control program.
• Maintains laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform various administrative duties, including but not limited to, ordering supplies (stock issues, direct charge, etc.), departmental communications, site interactions (verbal and written), etc.
• Assists in laboratory personnel training.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• One year of direct lab experience or Associates related degree which includes six months related lab experience.
• Demonstrated experience in MS Office or similar software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of mechanical/maintenance experience.
• Previous experience working with chemicals.
• Previous experience working with oil analysis.
• Previous experience working with lab equipment (ICP, viscometers, particle analysis, etc.).

Criteria/Conditions:

• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor,
  manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $24.50 - $33.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
