Friends of Switchpoint is a non-profit organization that has been serving individuals, families, and veterans in Utah who are experiencing poverty and homelessness since 2014.

PURPOSE: The Behavior Tech is responsible for supporting the residents during their stay at the facility.

Behavior techs are there as a support, to hold residents accountable, and to complete daily upkeep of

the facilities. They are responsible for documenting incidents (both good and bad), encouraging

residents to attend classes or events, and supporting management

Requirements

Responsibilities: ·

  • Understand and implement Switchpoint’s mission and values, and adhere to the Staff Code of Conduct and policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all residents of the facility.
  • Keep a daily log of occurrences within the facility on each shift.
  • Make notes of any special requirements and needs that guests may have (Special diets, ADA accommodations, etc.) Coordinate with management to facilitate those needs.
  • Update maintenance log with resident requests and get maintenance log to maintenance staff.
  • Actively listen to the needs of the residents and act to meet those needs reasonably and appropriately.
  • Reconcile and report any monetary funds, petty cash and other expenditures daily.
  • Report any resident concerns to the Director/Manager and/or appropriate department leadership team.
  • Demonstrate a passion for customer service as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, and members of the community.
  • Laundry (Bedding when soiled or when guests check out.)
  • Simple cleaning (Public bathroom, sweeping, mopping, etc)
  • Monitor Cameras and log activity
  • Complete perimeter checks around building and walk-throughs in building to ensure safety and security of residents. Log or document any concerns.
  • Handle security issues/complaints by calling either non-emergency dispatch or 911 for emergency services.
  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs periodically as needed.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Be an example of the Switchpoint culture, create a positive work environment for yourself, residents, and other co-workers.
  • Abide by all Switchpoint rules and policies.
  • Keep accurate logs of all transactions and submit them to management daily.

Compensation

Wage range: $19-21/Hour

Grave Shift - 11 pm - 7 am

Part-Time or Full-Time
