Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School diploma required 
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a hospital or outpatient billing, insurance verification, collections, payment posting and front office experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE:

Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Scheduling all walk-ins accurately in the hospital EMR system.
  2. Register and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring smooth intake process.
  3. Completes new patient registration in hospital EMR system with precision and attention to detail.
  4. Performs daily reporting in the hospital EMR systems; Collect co-pays, post to respective patient accounts and issue receipts through hospital EMR system
  5. Ensures all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with organizational standards.
  6. Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations as required
  7. Assembles and distribute new patient information packets. Scans registration documents into the appropriate EMR system
  8. Uphold cleanliness and organization within the facility
  9. Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by supervisor
