About the Role & Program

The Disney Global Antipiracy Group is dedicated to delivering antipiracy services globally, focusing on the prevention of online piracy involving film, television, live events, and the sale of unauthorized or unlicensed consumer products associated with Disney properties. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience within a dynamic environment, collaborating with an international team of specialists to address illicit distribution of content and unauthorized merchandise. Additionally, it provides exposure to the operational management of extensive global vendor programs.

The internship runs from June 2026 through September 2026. If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Director of Antipiracy Operations.

What You Will Do

As an Antipiracy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting online enforcement, researching piracy technologies, websites/e-commerce platforms and apps, tracking piracy data, providing regular reports on piracy and consumer trends.  This role is highly cross-functional, offering exposure to legal enforcement, vendor management, data analysis, and the deployment of emerging technologies to protect our creators and business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct targeted research and intelligence gathering across global e-commerce marketplaces, social media platforms, and digital networks

  • Assist in compiling data, analyzing piracy trends, and generating reports

  • Support the team in evaluating and testing new technologies—such as A.I.

  • Help to track vendor performance metrics and reports

  • Contribute with ad-hoc investigative projects as directed by the management team

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated strong interest in entertainment law, the television industry, and negotiation theory or strategy; completion of relevant coursework is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with digital/social media platforms, e-commerce ecosystems, and an emerging A.I. technology

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

  • Proven experience working effectively within collaborative teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of successfully multitasking in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in the entertainment industry or other creative industries.

Education  

  • Junior or Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework with a business, entertainment, Television, Humanities, and Journalism.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

  • The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through September 2026

  • Able to work Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
