Description

The Production Technician is responsible for performing hands-on mechanical assembly of components, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role includes assembling electro-mechanical systems, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality of parts, and supporting overall production quality and efficiency.
This position requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with engineering and production teams to support a variety of technical projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in hands-on work, and brings a positive attitude to a production team environment.   

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform assembly of electronic and mechanical components according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Operate production equipment and tools used in manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of assemblies and systems.
  • Support prototype builds and engineering development projects.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production staff to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with mechanical or electronic assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, or work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to learn and apply new information and/or skills. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents. Other requirements:

  • Occasionally will need to lift/and or move up to 45lbs.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
  • Work in moderate environment temperature and noise level. 
  • Regularly work around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
