The Systems Integration and Test Engineering Internship we offer is a 12-week summer program tailored for undergraduates pursuing degrees in computer science, biomedical engineering, and/or electrical engineering. Interns will be assigned to a 12-week project based on their skills that match the needs of the marketing analytics business.

What will you do?

Intern projects offer hands-on engineering experiences in a diverse workplace environment. You will collaborate with team members, explore different areas, and engage with various leaders.

Projects could focus on the following functions:

  • Develop test cases and a test plan based on the requirements and release schedules for a specific software or instrument release
  • Complete test cases as described and detailed in the test plan
  • Identify failures during test execution and log appropriate information needed to allow the developer to understand, reproduce, and address the issue
  • Conduct analysis of the root causes for customer blocking issues
  • Be involved in New Product development (i.e. vision system development on latest Sequencer platform)

Location/Division Specific Information

This position will be under the supervision of the Systems Integration and Test team in the Clinical Next Generation Sequencing Division at Thermo Fisher.

There are internship opportunities at the Guilford, CT R&D campus.

  • Applicants must have unrestricted US work authorization (forms of CPT and OPT are restricted work authorization)

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $22.50–$38.50.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
