The engineering intern will help develop process planning (CAD) and support the manufacturing process to ensure dimensional requirements are met. An ideal candidate should be a degree seeking engineering student (preferably studying manufacturing engineering). This position is in Northstar’s Engineering Department, and reports to the Engineering Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The intern will be given one or two projects to complete during the summer. The intern will work with the Northstar team to complete the project and report out at the end of the internship. The employee will be responsible for handling sensitive information in accordance with all applicable security standards, guidelines, and company policies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  The physical requirements of this position are listed below. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time. Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise. The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc. Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts.                                       QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED Degree seeking manufacturing engineering student or related engineering discipline (mechanical, industrial, aerospace, etc.).
