Job Description

ITCD Specialist

Job Purpose

Integrated Treatment Specialists work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, modeling integrated treatment skills and training other staff in evidence-based practice principles and practice.  

 Qualifications                 

  • Master’s level with licensure/provisional (QMHP) with at least one year of full-time experience in treating those with substance use disorders or
  • Board qualified as QSAP (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, RADC-) with one year of training or supervised experience in substance treatment or will be acquiring 24 hours of training in IDDT specific content and will get supervision from an experienced IDDT staff.
  • Preferred qualifications vary by program.                                                                                                                                         

Core Job Duties

  • Attend team meetings.
  • Regular contact with peer specialists, care coordinators, supervisors, nurses and physician.
  • Highly involved in developing treatment plans and amendments of plans throughout the months.
  • Help, consult with and direct other staff with interventions for substance use and mental illness treatment.
  • Expert or lead person in modeling and training other staff in ITCD principles and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide oversight, support and consultation to ensure motivational interviewing approach is occurring.
  • Takes lead to ensure the rest of the team is focused on promoting health.
  • Provides substance use counseling.
  • For Direct Care Staff: Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models. 
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. 
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.                                         
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.

Diagnostician

Job Purpose

The Diagnostician is responsible for providing a comprehensive assessment.   The Diagnostician will assess all problem areas, recommend an appropriate level of care and develop an interpretative summary from which individualized recovery care plan goals are developed.

Qualifications

For SUD Programs

  • The Diagnostician must be a fully licensed clinical social worker or fully licensed professional counselor in the State of Missouri
  • Must have at least (1) one-year experience in treating persons with substance use disorders.

For MH Programs 

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field 
  • Must meet the Department of Mental Health’s criteria for a qualified mental health professional

Core Job Duties                                           

  • Review assessment information/documentation of person(s)-served completed upon initial intake.
  • Complete an Eligibility Determination for each person served within 24 hours of admission.
  • Conduct a face-to-face diagnostic interview with person(s)-served 
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the DSM and familiarity with the diagnostic criteria sets of all substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Development of the individualized recovery care plan for assigned person(s)-served with SMART goals, objectives and interventions.
  • Assure written reports to appropriate persons or agencies are completed in a timely manner, including the provision of such when necessary.
  • Completion of all required admission screenings.
  • Complete Interpretative Summary based on assessment data and the diagnostic interview. 
  • Works with Clinical Team in assigning person(s)-served to appropriate treatment services.
  • Maintain/improve professional competencies through training activities and/or other educational means.
  • Maintain awareness regarding the agency vision and assist staff in continuing motivation and empowerment.
  • Participates in clinical staffing of person(s)-served to include attendance of meetings and/or written notes regarding person(s)-served cooperation and participation with program expectations.

FCC Behavioral Health is a private, non-profit, certified community behavioral health organization. Our team works closely with individuals to provide a wide range of services promoting recovery and wellness. We work with individuals of all races, creed, gender, disability, and sexual orientation and serve 19 counties in Southeast Missouri. Services include mental health and substance use disorder treatment, veteran’s services, peer support, psychiatry, crisis intervention and stabilization, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, family medicine and more! We collaborate with families, school and healthcare systems, and other networks to create an individualized plan for our consumers. Depending on the service, our team may work with consumers in their home, in the community, at school, or in one of our facilities.
