Collins Aerospace Global Engineering and Technology Center in Aguadilla Puerto Rico is looking for summer interns to support our NAF Summer Internship Program. This intern will gain valuable exposure to a broad range of technology skills, disciplines, and functions. The candidate will work closely with Collins leadership team members to deliver real results in the areas of Programming, Software Development , Mechanical Design and Project Engineering.
Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
As our intern, you will have the opportunity of participating on a project related to your discipline, learn how projects are worked on the industry and collaborate in groups or teams to create a product or system.
Responsibilities will include:
Learning and supporting Project Engineers in project planning, Scrum Meetings and general project management tasks
Learning and supporting Mechanical Engineering on Product Definition or Design Tasks
Developing or supporting a development or testing phase of an application or embedded system
Gather or create supporting documentation.
Communicate in meetings face to face or remotely to provide status or information about your tasks
Qualifications needed:
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract
Benito Cerezo Vázquez High School NAF Academy Scholar participant in the 2024-25 School year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enjoy working in teams and collaborate on different disciplines.
Interest on learning new skills and desire to explore new possibilities.
Good verbal and written skills in English. Expected to do presentations and communicate with English speakers.
Basic knowledge on Microsoft Office Tools – Outlook, Word, Excel , Power Point, Teams
Basic understanding on the engineering process.
Basic understanding of CAD, computer programming and electrical engineering
