Job Description

The Admissions Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the admissions team in various tasks related to the enrollment process. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in higher education administration and provides an opportunity to contribute to the success of the admissions department. The Admissions Intern will work closely with admissions counselors and other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process for prospective students. This position is only open to current undergraduate students.

Responsibilities:

  • Student intern will be assigned to assist with daily activities and tasks. 
  • Student intern will be responsible for giving campus tours as needed (usually daily), and accommodating prospective students and other visitors as necessary. 
  • Candidates must be willing and able to learn data entry processes and handle phone calls with prospective students, current students, and any other incoming callers.
  • Candidates must also learn the admissions process, including all that is required, in order to gain a better understanding of the admissions counselor position.  Some travel may also be required.

Qualifications:

  • Student must have the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and uncomplicated manner.
  • It is imperative to have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic personality, and maintain the highest standards of conduct, appearance, and attitude.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work evening and weekend hours. 
  • Must have been on the Campbellsville Campus for at least a year (2 semesters)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
  • Previous experience in admissions, customer service, or related fields is preferred but not required

Campbellsville University

Campbellsville University’s School of Business, Economics, and Technology began a Ph.D. in Management program during the fall of 2017. The program requires 60 hours. Three specializations are offered: Leadership/Management; Human Resource Management; and Cyber Technology Management. Students are encouraged to complete the program in three years. Applications are being taken for the January 2018 Cohort, which begins January 16, 2018 and for the May 2018 Cohort, which begins May 14, 2018.
