Job Description

OVERVIEW 

The Overnight Construction Technician will be responsible for providing support to the commercial construction team. 

ESSENTIAL TASKS

These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position

Responsibilities:

  • Daily performance of Commercial carpentry, floor tile repairs, FRP Installation, minor plumbing and electric (equipment disconnect & reconnect. Drain lines, water lines etc.) concrete, commercial door and hardware, acoustical ceiling systems, and general construction duties

  • Ability to email and communicate via mobile device i.e. iPad applications

  • Ability to travel regionally overnight. Hotel and meals paid by company

  • Basic knowledge of carpentry/construction 

  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.

  • Moves necessary materials around the jobsite as assigned.

  • Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

  • Assisting supervisors with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.

  • Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment

Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 80 lbs. consistently throughout the workday (see attached examples)

  • Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.

  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.

  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

  • Basic knowledge of carpentry/construction  

  • Valid US Driver’s License
