We are looking for a Hospitality Technician I to perform daily cleaning tasks throughout the Parrish Medical Center facilities. Key responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, offices, and other areas, as well as maintaining equipment and restocking supplies. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, and no prior experience is required.

Standard Hours/Week: 40
General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Hospitality Service Technician I follows set schedules to provide daily and/or major cleaning of floors, offices, corridors, and other areas as assigned, throughout Parrish Medical Center facilities.
 Key Responsibilities: 
  •  Empties wastebaskets and dusts all areas.
  •  Cleans patient rooms following the 7-step cleaning process and cleans offices daily and mops areas as scheduled. Sanitizes patient room floors daily.
  • Cleans bathrooms and fixtures and sanitizes floors daily.
  • Clean furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces according to prescribed methods.
  • Performs spot cleaning of walls, windows and carpeted areas.
  • Maintains housekeeping equipment and restocks supplies.
  • Makes beds, gathers linen and completed checkout assignments of patient rooms according to prescribed methods.
  • Notifies Supervisor of areas that require additional cleaning, eg; shampooing of carpet in patient rooms, walls that require washing, etc.
  •  Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
  • Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as pertains to the work area.
  • Indicates an “essential” job function.  
Requirements:

Formal Education:
  •  High School Diploma or GED preferred
