Position Summary

The Registered Nurse administers patient care in an area in the PACU area where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient’s medical condition. 

Location: Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Orlando, FL
Department: PACU
Type: Variable Full-time (36 hours)

Shift: Days Shift - On call requirement: 3-5, 12-hours shift per 6-week schedule - weekends or night shifts. 

WPH PACU

WPH PACU is equipped to provide preoperative care for patients undergoing the following types of surgery: Gynecological, Obstetrical, General, Genitourinary, Oncological, Orthopedic, and Plastic. The WPH PACU staffs are scheduled to provide flexible nursing care andservices for elective and emergent 24/7 (24 hours/7 days a week).

Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department

Licensure/Certification

  • Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of RN expericved in a Pre-op or PACU area.
