Shift/Hours/Location: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, onsite, Moses Lake, WA (Please note, because this is an intern position we would not offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance benefits) WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON Generate process safety information for new and existing chemical systems. Validate accuracy of existing process safety information for running processes. Escalate any discrepancies found and ensure corrective actions are taken. Assist engineers in generating documentation to support plant projects. Verify project documentation for accuracy based on direction from plant engineers. Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.” Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations. Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required.  It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed. Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high performing team. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent required. Currently pursuing an engineering degree from an accredited University (any discipline acceptable). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior coursework or exposure to process safety, chemical systems, or engineering project work. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications, or technical drawings. Basic understanding of chemical processes, safety protocols, and engineering documentation. SALARY & BENEFITS Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. WORKING CONDITIONS Duties are generally performed indoors in an office and high purity manufacturing environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. When working in the presence of safety hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses and full leather shoes, etc. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gasses that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc. Qualifications
