Description

Plans and leads music for parish liturgies, directing smaller ensembles or specific Mass groups under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

Plans, prepares and leads music for parish liturgies and special events, such as weddings, funeral, etc.

Directs choirs, trains cantors, plans cantor & accompanist schedule.

Selects music consistent with the liturgical calendar.

Coordinates with clergy in all aspects of the job.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and sacred music.
• Proficient in choral direction and keyboard or vocal performance. Skills in organ preferred.
