Job Description

ODP Business Solutions is a leading B2B provider of office, technology, furniture, and facilities solutions, helping organizations of all sizes run smarter, more efficiently, and more sustainably. Our Inside Sales Enablement & Strategy team supports the business through data‑driven insights, process optimization, and the design and execution of sales programs and tools.

As a Summer Intern on this team, you will partner with sales leaders and inside sales reps to assist with day‑to‑day projects and operational tasks—conducting research, building basic analyses, analyzing sales data, streamlining processes, and supporting the rollout of sales initiatives and campaigns—while gaining hands‑on experience with reporting, sales enablement, project coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced, dynamic B2B environment.

The Intern supports an assigned business area by assisting with day-to-day projects and operational initiatives that contribute directly to business objectives. This role provides hands-on exposure to core processes, tools and cross functional collaboration within the organization. The Intern conducts research, prepares basic analyses and presentations, documents workflows, and participates in team meetings and project reviews. The position is intended to develop foundational professional skills, support on-going initiatives and contribute to the successful execution of department priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support day to day projects and operational tasks – Assist with projects and daily activities within the assigned business area (e.g., data updates, status tracking, coordination) to ensure timely and accurate completion of team priorities.
  • Conduct research and prepare analytical materials – Gather information, analyze data, and compile findings into clear summaries, reports, or presentations to support decision making and project planning.
  • Participate in team and cross‑functional meetings – Attend team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews; capture notes, follow‑up items, and contribute ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners – Work with colleagues in other departments (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Operations) to support ongoing initiatives, share information, and help drive alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Document and improve processes – Help document workflows, update trackers and dashboards (e.g., Excel, project management tools), and maintain accurate records to improve transparency, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Deliver an end‑of‑internship project or presentation – Synthesize key learnings, project contributions, and recommendations into a final presentation or recap to share outcomes and insights with the team and leadership.
  • Sales Data & Reporting Support – Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing sales data; help build or update dashboards and reports used by Inside Sales leadership to monitor performance and identify opportunities.
  • Sales Process & Program Support – Support efforts to document and improve Inside Sales workflows, assist with campaign execution and lead tracking, and help implement new tools or process enhancements.
  • Project Coordination for Sales Initiatives – Help coordinate tasks, timelines, and status updates for strategic sales projects and ad hoc initiatives, ensuring deliverables stay on track.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • To be considered for this role, applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, etc.) at an accredited university, with a minimum of 60 credit hours completed at time of hire.
  • No prior professional experience required. Previous internship, co-op, part-time, or project experience is a plus. Relevant coursework and academic projects that demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Interest in Sales, Business, or Operations – Demonstrated interest in B2B sales, business strategy, or operations (e.g., relevant major, projects, or prior work) and comfort working with data and process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams).
  • Analytical & Excel Skills – Coursework or experience using Excel and basic data analysis to interpret trends and create simple reports or visuals.
  • Project or Team-Based Work – Prior involvement in class projects, student organizations, or internships that required coordinating tasks, meeting deadlines, and communicating progress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and self-teach new skills.
  • Fearlessly curious – challenging the status quo by looking at solutions in unconventional ways and seeing opportunities to innovate.
  • Strong sense of business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire length of the program.
