Job Description

The Clinical Practice Clerk reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

• The Clinical Practice Clerk supports the service area by performing various administrative and clerical duties (medical records, supplies, inventories, mail receipt and distribution, filing, tracking, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Manages the retrieval, filing, and maintenance activities of medical records.
• Maintains supplies, forms, and other inventory.
• Works with vendors to place orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Receives, distributes and sends mail and faxes.
• Makes or coordinates deliveries and pick-ups.
• Receives, appropriately responds, and documents patient inquiries.
• Generates communication to patients and others.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in a relevant role.
