General Information:  

The Finance Intern is responsible for supporting various finance related activities and special projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports month-end reporting process; runs reports from system, reviews for accuracy and completion and distributes as directed. 
  • Provides assistance to Finance team with cost center budgetary tracking; enters information into spreadsheets, analyzes data and identifies variances.
  • Works with Finance team to complete monthly labor reporting; compiles reports and reviews for accuracy and provides analysis of data and trends.
  • Completes assigned projects related to KPI metrics, account mapping in ERP system and other related finance areas. 
  • Completes job aids, Work Instructions, and other paperwork according to established company policy. 
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, financial information, product information, and other sensitive and confidential information. 
  • Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed due to workplace demands.  Performs other related duties as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a 4 year degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: general accounting and financial concepts and principles; ERP Systems (previous knowledge of SAP is preferred. 
  • Skill in:  creating and reviewing worksheets in Excel or Access.
  • Ability to: read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions including Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions; wear required PPE as needed (e.g. safety shoes, hair net, lab coat, gloves, protective eyewear); work as part of a team;  develop and maintain good working relationships; manage time effectively; maintain a positive attitude; work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Other functions, skills and abilities may apply.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds manually. 
  • A climate-controlled office environment; the noise level is usually moderately quiet, however the individual must be able to spend time on the production floor where the noise level is moderately loud. 
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crouch, talk, hear, push and pull
  • Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout the facility, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
