Program and Position Overview
The Valor Tactical Innovation Internship Program is an immersive 8-week experience designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the defense manufacturing industry. Through hands on experience, Interns gain practical knowledge of engineering, production operations, quality assurance, safety compliance, and business functions while supporting projects that contribute to the company’s mission of delivering reliable solutions for the U.S. warfighter.
This position requires use of information and data which is subject to US Export Regulations, including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. 120 et seq., and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. 730 et seq. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.
Interns will rotate weekly through multiple departments to develop a comprehensive understanding of advanced manufacturing, regulated production environments, and cross-functional collaboration in a federal contractor setting.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Interns work in both office and manufacturing environments within a regulated production facility. Activities may include exposure to manufacturing equipment, testing labs, and engineering workspaces, and on administrative support teams while adhering to strict safety and security procedures.
This internship provides valuable exposure to the manufacturing industry, including lean methodology, and offers opportunities to build professional skills, contribute to real projects, and work alongside experienced engineers and professionals supporting mission-critical programs.
Applications welcome through April 30, 2026. Compensation for successful intern candidates includes $15.50 per hour and potential to earn academic credit. The role is non-exempt and not eligible for benefits.
Requirements
Schedule: This Internship is 40 hours per week for nine weeks, commencing May 26, 2026, through July 23, 2026. Interns will need to be onsite Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Successful candidates must be committed to this schedule.
