Work Schedule and Shift Premiums

7pm-7am | 3 days (36 hours)/week including every other weekend

2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution
  • Current Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA), otherwise must obtain one within 4 months of hire, may be eligible to have this paid for by the hospital once you're hired
  • BLS, plus TEAM certification is required within one year (both are available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsibilities

  • Must have knowledge of patient’s condition and plan of care and assist under direction of an RN
  • May assist patients with activities of daily living
  • Maintain accurate records within the chart - graphics, I&Os, evening and weekend activity, showers, etc.
  • Collect patient specimens per protocol
  • Perform clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, etc. Input computer data appropriately. Answer the telephone in a friendly manner, take messages, and direct calls
