SUMMARY: Provides a diverse range of duties involved in guest related maintenance issues and day-to-day operations of the resort to include the Legacy Lodge and Conference Center and the Lake houses on Lanier Islands and supporting other venues within the property.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   JOB DESCRIPTION
  • 2nd shift: 3:30 pm to midnight
  • Repairs to guest rooms, facilities, and other resort related equipment.
  • Basic maintenance, repair, of plumbing systems
  • Basic electrical maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment and systems throughout the resort to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Monitor, maintain, repair and carry out preventative maintenance programs on resort heating ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
  • Maintenance of resort pools to include chemical check.
  • Hotel experience a must

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean MVR for 3 years.   CERTIFICATION Valid Driver’s License and Clean 3 Year MVR.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.   REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a 1,100 acre resort located on islands in Lake Lanier. The Resort features Golf Courses, a Water Park, Equestrian Center with riding trails, a Main Lodge, Houseboat & Villa rentals, Wedding & Event facilities, and the Tranquility Spa that I work for.
