Job Description:

Drawing and producing solid wire for packaging according to Route Card / process sheet and production schedule requirements. This is a 1st shift position.

  • Operate safely and identify, report, and correct unsafe situations. 

  • Follow process specifications for machine setup and production. 

  • Complete machine setup, change over, and troubleshooting in a timely manner. 

  • Perform specified quality checks including visual inspections. 

  • Enter data in Route Card including quality checks and product specification. 

  • Place nonconforming products on hold. 

  • Report maintenance issues as they arise. 

  • Operate a forklift and electric pallet jack.  

  • Perform restock and housekeeping. 

  • Read and follow production schedule. 

  • Willing to train on and operate other machines / processes, as necessary. 

  • Run multiple machines simultaneously. 

  • Monitor multiple liquid tanks for appropriate fill level and temperature.  

Qualifications 

  • Training on applicable Draw Bench machinery is preferred.  

  • Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required. 

  • Able to safely load / unload reels in and out of machine. 

  • Able to meet / exceed specified production rates. 

  • Possess an excellent quality record. 

  • Able to work overtime when required. 

  • Able to meet expectations for safety, attendance, and time management. 

  • Possess an excellent attitude, communication, and team working skills. 

  • Able to work continuously in a non-climate-controlled environment.
