Job Description
Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Nursing Assistant-Unit Coordinator. This is a Casual position. Shifts are 8 hours. Nursing Assistant experience required. 24 hours/month minimum requirement, 8 of these hours must be evening, night, or weekend shift.
Purpose of Position
This position provides both clerical support and patient care responsibilities. Clerical support is provided to the nursing departments through coordination of communication, transcription of provider orders, and maintenance of unit supplies. Patient care is provided by assisting the professional nurse in meeting basic activity of daily living (ADL) needs of the patient while maintaining an orderly and safe physical environment.
Specific duties are determined by the work setting or patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient’s condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams.
Compensation & Benefits:
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $21.24/hour to $29.99/hour, with a median wage of $24.99/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees.
