About the Role & Program
The Disney Global Antipiracy Group is dedicated to delivering antipiracy services globally, focusing on the prevention of online piracy involving film, television, live events, and the sale of unauthorized or unlicensed consumer products associated with Disney properties.
The Design Intern is responsible for supporting internal content detection and asset management initiatives through the preparation and organization of reference images related to Disney intellectual property. Key duties include image preparation, formatting, and the cataloging of metadata to facilitate internal systems and sanctioned partner platforms.
This internship is well-suited for individuals who are detail-oriented, methodical, and creative, with a strong interest in managing visual assets, adhering to technical requirements, and contributing to the effective management and safeguarding of content across multiple platforms. The internship runs from June 2026 through September 2026. If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Director of Antipiracy Operations.
What You Will Do
Gather approved reference images for a pre-defined library of characters and intellectual property using select internal systems and authorized sources.
Prepare and modify images to meet specific technical requirements, including file format, resolution, dimensions, naming conventions, and quality standards.
Ensure visual accuracy and consistency when working with established characters and intellectual property.
Catalog prepared images and associated metadata (e.g., titles, system IDs, related works) into internal databases or tracking systems.
Track progress across assigned image libraries, including time spent on tasks and estimated completion timelines.
Provide regular status updates, progress reports, and completion projections to supervisors and project stakeholders.
Follow established workflows and quality-control processes to ensure assets are complete, accurate, and system-ready.
Collaborate with supervisors during scheduled check-ins to ask questions, review processes, and address workflow challenges.
Handle all materials with discretion, recognizing that work products are for internal and partner-system use only and not public-facing.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Familiarity with digital/social media platforms, e-commerce ecosystems, and an emerging A.I. technology
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
Proven experience working effectively within collaborative teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of successfully multitasking in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (or comparable professional image-editing tools).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when performing process-driven or repetitive tasks.
Ability to follow technical specifications and standardized workflows precisely.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience in the entertainment industry or other creative industries.
Prior internship, academic project, or portfolio experience involving image editing, asset preparation, or digital content organization.
Familiarity with metadata tagging, file naming conventions, or digital asset management concepts.
Experience working with large sets of images or media files where consistency and accuracy were critical.
Exposure to working with branded or character-based assets.
Ability to balance quality and efficiency in a production-oriented creative environment.
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework with a Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Arts, Animation, Photography, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

Able to work Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
