Reports to: Director of Nursing
Position Status: Full-time.
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm with some on-call duties
Job Summary: The Staffing Coordinator will coordinate all staffing needs for all assigned units and will communicate and resolve all scheduling needs as appropriate.
Essential Functions / Duties:
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling for a 24/7 nursing and assisted living facility
- Maintain a schedule of RNs, LPNs, and nurse aides
- Replace staffing for call-ins and other scheduling issues
- Document staff absences, leave, vacations and tardies
- Communicate staff absences, leave, vacations, and tardies to appropriate Director of Nursing and payroll
- Document timeclock corrections and report to payroll
- Assist with onboarding for new nursing staff
- Gather daily census data and post to nurses stations
- Attend all stand-up meetings and report on staffing needs/issues
- Communicate scheduling updates to staff as needed
- Assist with administration and tracking of tuberculosis screening and testing for staff building-wide
- Manage skin care protocol; round weekly with wound care doctor; update wound care plans and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care per assigned unit or as needed/requested.
- Support clinical nursing team with nursing and caregiving duties as needed or assigned.
- Support nurse management as part of clinical and staffing on-call rotation.

Education and Experiences: Must have a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. Prior experience in a similar working environment is preferred, but not a requirement of the position. This position requires an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) in the state of Missouri.

- Ability to safeguard the privacy of Residents’ health information.
- Ability to speak and read English, and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, residents, and staff.
Physical and Other Requirements:
This position is also subject to exposure to infectious diseases, conditions, etc., including the Hepatitis B viruses. Must be free of communicable diseases and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
