Salary:

Please note that the salary range provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Connecticut. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge:

• Interfacing with the ERP system to align product structures to manufacturing processes.

• Finding and implementing improvements to those manufacturing processes.

• Utilizing Lean problem-solving tools to increase efficiencies within the business.

• Improve organization of the department through application of 5S principles.

• Create standard work for production members to follow during assembly operations This will be a hands-on position with the opportunity to learn and utilize critical thinking skills, Lean tools, and implementation of 5S principles. The student will be working in a very close, team-oriented environment, and therefore should be able to work well and communicate with fellow Engineers and employees in several different departments. Current major projects for FY26 include:

• Implementation and validation of new manufacturing process utilizing 1500T swaging press to produce cable assemblies.  

• Assisting in the troubleshooting and fixing of the ERP system.

• Improving the layout of the shop floor to accommodate more capacity.

What you Bring:

  • Perusing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to understand processes and engineering drawings.
