Children's Wisconsin is looking for an Events Intern to assist with planning and execution of events. The ideal candidate will be working towards a degree in a related field, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have an interest in event fundraising. This role involves working with volunteers and staff, requiring good interpersonal skills and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Assist Events Foundation staff with planning certain components of events; including Signature Events, Community Events, and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Working toward a degree in Events, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field at an accredited college or university.
  • An interest in event fundraising
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creativity/Enthusiasm
  • Organizational skills - Ability to manage time and meeting numerous deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills - will work with volunteers and staff
  • Computer use- limited desktop publishing work and proficient understanding in Microsoft programs.
  • Car for local travel, minimal. (Mileage will be reimbursed)
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
