Job Description

Software QA Tester   American Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Software Quality Assurance Tester based in its Sandy, UT office. This position will work closely with the Business Analyst & SME to establish routines for validating technology builds.   The Quality Assurance professional would serve as an integral asset in the Information Systems department. They will be responsible for testing and validating all software development to ensure it meets the requirements, functions as expected, is visually appealing, and would provide the end user with an optimum experience. The QA must have a keen eye for detail, should test for any bugs and flaws, would report any issues prior to deployments, and review once deployed.   At American Cruise Lines, we are driven by our values—Optimism, Commitment, Patriotism, and Merit.   • Step through the software, reports, or processes as the end user would, while attempting to find bugs and report any issues or flaws to the development team for corrections.
  • Provide unit testing, system testing, and regression testing across various platforms.
  • Carefully review for meeting the request, maintaining company standards, professionalism, visual appearance, consistency, and overall quality for each development.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure the functionality and performance of
  • innovative systems and software enhancements.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify issues and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare, together with the Business Analyst, appropriate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios aligned with established business requirements.
  • Analyze test results and track issues during UAT.
  • Provide clear documentation and reporting on defects, issues, and test results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs to ensure optimal system performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably within a custom software development environment.
  • Familiarity with project management solutions a plus.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with business analysts and developers.
