As an Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting Accelevation’s accounting operations while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role offers meaningful exposure to real-world accounting processes, including expense reporting, general ledger activities, financial close support, and audit preparation. You’ll work closely with experienced accounting professionals in a collaborative environment designed to support learning, growth, and professional development.   Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supporting administration of the company’s travel and expense (T&E) reporting tool, including reviewing expense reports for policy compliance
• Assisting employees with T&E submissions and escalating discrepancies or policy exceptions as needed
• Preparing general ledger account reconciliations with proper supporting documentation
• Assisting with preparation and posting of standard journal entries as needed
• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities within established deadlines
• Assisting with preparation of audit support and documentation for periodic financial statement audits
• Performing intuitive ad-hoc reporting and basic financial analysis as requested
• Reviewing financial data to help identify discrepancies or opportunities for process improvement
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
• Assisting with the development and documentation of accounting procedures and controls
• Collaborating with team members to support ongoing accounting initiatives and projects
• Performing other duties as assigned

  Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or a recent graduate)
• Exposure to accounting coursework and a basic understanding of GAAP preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail with good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
