About the Role 

DecisionHR is looking for a Process Analysis & Automation Intern to support our digital transformation efforts and help the business grow more efficiently. This is a cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of business operations and technology, focused on identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation and smarter data workflows.

You will work closely with teams across the organization to understand how different functions connect, sitting in on discussions and feedback sessions to build context for your work. While this role does touch technical systems, you do not need to know how to code or have an IT background to apply. This role reports directly to business operations.

What You Will Be Doing

Process Discovery and Requirements Gathering

  • Partner with business users to understand their day-to-day workflows and contribute to existing process maps that inform future projects
  • Participate in discovery and feedback sessions, learning techniques for gathering information from non-technical stakeholders
  • Develop an understanding of which tools and solutions apply to specific business problems

Automation and Building

  • Learn to use Power Automate, a low-code drag-and-drop workflow builder, to translate mapped business processes into our HRIS system
  • Use AI tools such as Claude to work through technical limitations and better understand complex functions
  • Identifygaps in our Power Automate library that could unlockadditionalvalue for the business

Validation and Deployment

  • Helpvalidatethat solutions fully address the underlying business problem and create training documentation to support end user adoption
  • Collaborate with IT to provide business context behind decisions made during the build process
  • Support ad-hoc assignments as needed

What We Are Looking For

Background and Skills

  • A background in accounting, computer science, data engineering, finance, or general business operations with a technical mindset
  • An understanding of how relational databases work, including common relationship types
  • Comfort integrating AI into your personal workflow to push past technical knowledge gaps
  • A willingness to apply new concepts to real projects in progress

Systems You Will Use: Claude, Power Automate, Power BI, Salesforce, SQL, Visio, intermediate Excel, and various Microsoft products.
