Position Title: Associate Mechanical Engineer (ESS)

Location: Houston, TX

Position Description

Entry-level position. The Associate Mechanical Engineer performs simple engineering tasks and functions with on-the-job training and close supervision. Work is reviewed by Lead Engineer and/or Chief Engineer for accuracy and conformance with procedures and project scope. 

Essential Functions

  • Assists in preparation of material requisitions for basic equipment and materials.
  • Assists in preparation of technical bid evaluations.
  • Prepares or reviews lists (equipment, valve, piping, tie-in, and specialty items).
  • Reviews PFDs and P&IDs.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of experience in upstream or midstream oil and gas engineering preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Work Environment/Physical Demands 

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. 
  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer.

  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. 
  • Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
