This Analyst position on the International Corporate Development team within our Corporate Strategy & Business Development department will focus on broad CME Group opportunities and assist in framing, analyzing, and recommending strategic choices for the enterprise. The Analyst will support senior department staff in the assessment of organic, inorganic and partnership opportunities and development of strategic positioning to drive growth of existing business lines, expand into new markets and regions/countries, and achieve additional operational efficiencies.
The individual will be responsible for assisting in the research and analysis of potential merger & acquisition opportunities, strategic partnerships, and other commercial opportunities. The individual will also assist in developing longer-term strategies for various business areas within the organization by researching, analyzing, and compiling qualitative and quantitative information in a concise and high-quality manner for presentations to and discussions with senior management and business leaders.

Assist in analyses of potential external opportunities (mergers & acquisition, joint ventures, commercial partnerships, etc.) through data gathering and sometimes financial modeling. Analyses could also include Discounted Cash Flows, Trading Multiples, and Comparable Transactions modeling.
Collaborate with senior members of the Corporate Strategy & Business Development team and other departments to help develop business cases required in support of potential transactions, partnerships, and investment recommendations.
