Job DetailsJob Location: Kansas City, MO 64106Position Type: InternshipJoin our Sales & Marketing team to gain hands-on experience creating and managing digital assets for bestselling books, calendars, and global e-commerce platforms. Andrews McMeel Universal is a global, independent, integrated media company providing comics, illustrated humor, and inspirational content across syndication, book, calendar, and greeting card publishing, digital consumer experiences, and entertainment licensing. Our remarkable roster of talent includes dozens of New York Times best-selling authors and Pulitzer Prize-, Reuben Award-, and Emmy Award-winning creators. RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE Create and upload digital assets (interior spreads, back covers, and “Read Samples”) for backlist AMP and Quirk titles used across retail and marketing platforms Assist in building title records for upcoming eBooks Upload and maintain digital assets in the Title Management database Organize, rename, reformat, and upload lifestyle photography for books and calendars Support the creation of digital lifestyle mockups for calendar A+ content Rebuild and update A+ pages across international Amazon accounts INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES / WHAT YOU’LL LEARN How digital assets support book and product marketing across major retail platforms The role of metadata and asset management in publishing workflows Best practices for e-commerce content, including Amazon A+ pages Cross-functional collaboration within a publishing and media organization Professional skills in organization, prioritization, and project management WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently and prioritizing tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Creative thinking and willingness to contribute ideas Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat required; familiarity with Photoshop is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Nice to Have: Interest in publishing, marketing, or e-commerce Familiarity with digital content platforms or online retail environments This is a full-time paid internship that will run for up to one year. Andrews McMeel is a hybrid company, and the role will be required to work on-site at least three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday). Starting pay of $17/hour. Qualifications
