Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Portland, ME branch. We are looking for a rental operations assistant with experience in the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. In this position you will be responsible for assisting the Rental department with all activities related to rental operations and administration.

Responsibilities include:

• • • Perform inbound and outbound trailer inspections.
    • Take and maintain trailer photos and assist with marketing submissions.
    • Assist jockey as needed and support them on certain jobs.
    • Receive tire deliveries and roll them into the shop as needed.
    • Conduct a monthly trailer and tire inventory.
    • Provide excellent customer service with existing and new customers.
    • Assist Rental with various other tasks such as:
      • Fueling up all yard equipment
      • Keeping yard clean and safe
      • Light cleaning of rental offices
      • Weekly meter readings
      • Running errands as needed

Requirements:

• • • Experience in the heavy-duty truck/trailer/transportation industry is preferred.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
    • Must have excellent communication skills.
    • Must by detail oriented, and able to handle multi-tasking regularly.
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Must have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
    • Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, problem-solving attitude.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
