At EGA Spectro Alloys, a high-volume aluminum recycling operation, our production depends on conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy equipment. When maintenance runs strong, production runs strong.

We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined team member to support plant reliability and ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Starting Wage: $28.00/hr ($1.30/hr more for nights)
  • Schedule: 3-2-2-3 Schedule (On for 3, off for 2, on for 2, off for 3)
  • Days: 4:45am-5:00pm / Nights: 4:45pm-5:00am ($1.30 shift differential applies)

What to expect:

  • You will help keep plant equipment operating safely and efficiently in a heavy industrial foundry environment.
  • Maintain and repair motors, conveyors, and production systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems with support from the team
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety checks
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems
  • Use hand tools and shop equipment to complete repairs
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to minimize downtime
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • This role works in heat, noise, and around heavy machinery

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least 1 year of mechanical experience or related background
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or basic electrical troubleshooting preferred
  • Comfortable working in varied temperatures, including heat and cold
  • Strong attendance and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred:

  • Industrial or manufacturing experience
  • Experience in recycling, foundry, aggregate, mining, or heavy production environments
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
