Job Description

Description

We are searching for compassionate, dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians to join our growing team! We strive to empower each child to reach their full potential, foster meaningful connections, and enhance their overall quality of life. We prioritize collaboration and open communication, working closely with caregivers, so together we can celebrate each child’s achievements, no matter how big or small.

ABOUT MINDCOLOR:

Mindcolor Autism was founded in 2019 with the goal of providing compassionate, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to families impacted by autism. We have four founding principles: client-centric service, best-in-class team, culture of excellence, and tireless advocacy. We take pride in the quality, not quantity, of our service, measured through the success of our families, children, and team.

ROLE:

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are the most vital clinical members who deliver 1:1 treatment for our clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs use ABA techniques to teach a variety of skills such as functional communication, social skills, coping strategies, and many more!

PERKS:

  • Performance Reviews + Raises: Twice a year opportunities to grow your pay based on your impact.
  • Career Growth: Chance to become a Peer Mentor and support newer teammates.
  • Access to Student Analyst Program: Access to join our top-quality Student Analyst program for BCBA candidates (based on availability and performance).
  • Paid Admin Time: Keep your hours consistent—your note-writing time is paid at your same rate.
  • Recognition & Rewards: Earn points for swag, gift cards, and more through our rewards program.
  • Team Member Referral Bonus: Earn up to $500 per referral
  • Have a Voice: Regular opportunities to provide feedback and share your ideas.
  • Celebrate Together: Each center has its own budget for team outings, birthdays, anniversaries, and promotions.
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) with company match after just 90 days.
  • Investing in Your Future: Paid training, exam fee reimbursement, and recertification costs covered.
  • Time Off to support Work/Life Balance: PTO, 7 paid holidays (for full-time staff), plus 4 Self Care Days each year.
  • Prioritizing Health & Wellness: $300 annual reimbursement for mental health, fitness, or wellness needs (from gym memberships to therapy copays).
  • Team Connection: Opportunities for client observations, shadowing, and collaboration.
  • Exclusive Discounts: Working Advantage program for savings on theme parks, hotels, groceries, movie tickets, and more!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an RBT, you directly impact success and development for our clients and families. You’ll have the structure, support, and feedback you need to succeed, while being part of a collaborative and compassionate team.

  • Make a Direct Impact: Spend the majority of your time (about 80%) working one-on-one or in small groups with clients, helping them build skills and confidence.
  • Stay Organized & Supportive: Use about 20% of your time for session notes, documentation, and other tasks that keep client care consistent and high quality.
  • Bring Treatment Plans to Life: Follow individualized plans created by a BCBA, implementing written protocols tailored to each client’s unique goals.
  • Learn & Grow: Participate in training, meet competency milestones, and actively practice ABA principles and strategies in your daily work.
  • Promote Positive Behavior: Use evidence-based behavior management strategies and respond safely in challenging or high-stress situations.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with your BCBA supervisor and teammates, asking questions, seeking feedback, and sharing insights to support each child’s success.
  • Track Progress: Collect and input data with accuracy, ensuring treatment decisions are based on reliable information.
  • Stay Professional & Compassionate: Communicate with caregivers within your scope, always prioritizing client safety, dignity, and progress.
  • Be Ready & Reliable: Arrive prepared to start sessions on time and provide consistent support for clients and families.
  • Pitch In as a Team Player: Help prepare materials, maintain a safe and clean learning environment, and contribute to a positive center culture.
