Job Description

The Workday Business Process Management Intern will work with the Children's HR Technology team to audit incomplete transactions in our Workday HCM systems and formulate a plan to clear and/or advance these transactions to completion. The work will offer insight into Workday functionality and will enhance process improvement and analytical skills.

Responsibilities will include:
- Identifying business transactions that have not been completed within a defined timeframe.
- Identifying the transaction types and time since the transaction was assigned.
- Identifying the step in which the business process transaction stopped.
- Delivering summary findings with detailed data to confirm findings.
- Identifying trends in the type of transactions.
- Proposing solution(s) to clear and or advance these transactions.
- Presenting findings and proposed course of action to Department Leaders.
- Developing a project plan to execute proposed solution.

The Children's Summer Intern program allows interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experience related to their field of study by working on meaningful projects alongside Children’s professionals. Intern responsibilities may include project management, event planning and support, logistics, data base management, research, and analysis. Interns may explore career paths and apply for full-time positions upon successful completion of the program.

Experience

• Research area: research experience necessary either through previous internship, work experience, or course work; practical knowledge about the conduct of research principals required

Preferred Qualifications

• Progression toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or Human Resource Management
• Solid process, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
• Process improvement experience
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
• Healthcare industry experience

Education

Clinical Focus:

• College student with at least two years in a health sciences related program, such as pre-med, nursing, biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, or statistics, or post graduate student working toward a Master’s of Science in public health or medical degree

Non-Clinical Focus:

• College or graduate student that is currently working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or other related field, required
